Tube Technologies

PE: PE tubes with mono-layer, 2-layers, or 3-layers are seamlessly extruded from polyethylene. We use PE-HD (High-Density Polyethylene), PE-LD (Low-Density Polyethylene), PE-LLD (Linear Low-Density Polyethylene), or a combination of the above to achieve the desired feel. Mono-layer plastic tubes are ideal for products that do not have specific requirements concerning barriers.

COEX: Co-extruded tubes are seamless PE tubes with up to five layers, also called multi-layer tubes. They usually come with a barrier layer made of EVOH and/or sandwiched PCR material. They protect well against oxygen, gases, solvents, and oils. Compared to PE mono-layer tubes, COEX tube with EVOH are less permeable and more resistant to chemicals, which fits well with more demanding formulas.
